Ringing the Changes!
About a year ago, BAY AREA POETS SEASONAL REVIEW ceased printing issues due to the high costs of printing and mailing a quarterly publication. Since then, we have continued to post articles and announcements about books and poet profiles as we did in our 6 years of printed editions.
As we made this transition, we changed our name to BAY AREA POETS REVIEW (dropping the Seasonal). After akkm ooets are always in season!
We are transitioning to a new format for print that will be more
like an annual or biannnual literary review featuring the best
of the Bay Area's poets.
Our first planned issue will be out at the beginning of 2012
and will feature Poet Laureates of the San Francisco Bay Area
who have served in the past two years.
We will also feature a section of over-the-transom poems,
so please send us your best work. 
Founded in 2004 by East Bay poet Jannie M. Dresser and San Francisco performance poet Marvin R.Hiemstra, the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA POETS SEASONAL REVIEW published a snailmail newsletter for six and a half years featuring the on-the-ground and running wild Bay Area poetry scene. We focused solely on poets living or working in the nine counties that ring the San Francisco Bay.
The BAY ARE POETS REVIEW is committed to drawing attention to poets
in the nine Bay Area counties and to publishing quality poems for your enjoyment since 2004.
We are looking for writers who would like to report on their areas, including for the southern Alameda County, Contra Costa County, South Bay area, San Francisco, and Marin.
